50th Post + 2021 Goals

Today marks the beginning of a new year. It also marks my 50th post and the middle of my eighth month of blogging. In this post, I’ll be celebrating some achievements and talking about my goals for the future.

Part First // Milestones

Throughout the journey the Bookmark has been through, I’ve hit several incredible milestones.

As of the time of writing, I have 26 followers, 1,300+ views, and 600+ visitors.

My most popular post, Teen Tyrant Takedown, has accumulated 82 views.

None of that would have happened but for my amazing readers, of which you are one. So, thank you. If you’re reading this, you have helped this blog grow.

Of course, the biggest milestone is the 50th post. I’m still not sure how that number arrived already. The Benefield Bookmark has become more than I ever expected.

Part Second // Goals

In 2021, I plan to expand the blog in a few specific ways. First will be the debut of a new series in which I take a deeper dive into my favorite books. The first of these is planned for mid-January, so keep an eye out for that.

Also in this year I want to have several guests posts from other bloggers.

Beyond The Benefield Bookmark, I’m planning to hone my writing skills and fully complete a novel. I’ll also be posting more of my work such as short stories and excerpts from my works in progress.

This year I want to enter a short story contest. If you know of any being held this year, feel free to let me know.

Part Third // Announcement

Moving forward, a few things will be changing. One you probably already noticed: the logo! I may alter it again, but most likely it will be with this blog until the end of time.

The other thing is my post variety, I’ll be posting more of the things I mentioned in Part Second, plus some articles on writing. Book reviews will remain my primary purpose, but I will add some other types of posts.
